afternoon at the pension cafe

i spent the afternoon down in the cafe at the pension today. and a miracle happened! my laptop is finally picking up wifi here at the pension with full bars!!! made me wanna cry. lol
i tried to reserve train seats for my return trips from toledo to madrid and madrid back to alicante. but obviously reservation only orders are not available within the Spanish train network. so what have i done all afternoon?! i wrote good 5 entries to mr palomar! (5 more to go.)
two spanish men approached while i was sitting here, typing on my computer.

the first guy first asked if i was using the internet. i said yes, and he said he was trying to connect to the wifi but it wasnt working for him. duhhh. i have been here for one whole month and i have just been able to connect! i was trying to explain how unstable this wifi zona is but obviously he doesnt speak english and i cant speak any spanish besides 'cafe con leche', 'solo', and 'hola'. okay, maybe 'fumar matas' (smoking kills.) and ding! i got an idea! i walked back to my laptop and brought up google translate! oh google, the know-it-all. there i was communicating with this spanish man! haha...

okay. second guy. the man was walking to the restroom and he stopped next to me asked "how are you doing?" it took me a good 5 seconds to understand what he was saying. i said "good. im fine, thank you!" then he said "i saw you working on your computer the whole day. why you work?" "its a beautiful day. beach. party. holiday!" "no working!" i tried to explain to him that im a student. but didnt bother. lol. so i just said "yeah! football tonight! watch football!" then he continued his work to the restroom. when he returned, he stopped by again. "no work! beautiful day!" i was like "ok~... hahaha." and yea. that was it. hahaha

its fun to talk w spanish ppl. even though i have to guess 95% of whatever they say.


ok! Spain vs Italia in 1.5 hours! this is gonna be funn. either spain wins or loses, this town will go CRAZYYYY.
